JOIN OUR TEAM

Roscommon County Childcare Committee (Roscommon CCC) CLG acts as the
local agent of the Department of Children, Equality, Disability,
Integration and Youth for the local implementation of national
childcare programmes at county level throughout County Roscommon. We
are now looking for a Childminding Development Officer (CMDO)
Maternity Leave Cover to join our team who is organised and
detail-oriented, with excellent communication and interpersonal
skills.

ROLE: CHILDMINDING DEVELOPMENT OFFICER (CMDO) MATERNITY LEAVE COVER

OVERALL DESCRIPTION OF THE POST: To Support the delivery of Roscommon
CCCs Annual Statement of Work including the Childminding Action Plan
and delivery of supports to the local childminding sector.

EMPLOYER: Roscommon County Childcare Committee CLG

LOCATION: Roscommon County Childcare Committee Offices, Knock Road,
Castlerea, Co. Roscommon F *P**Apply on the

HOURS OF WORK: *.5 hours per week_. _The role
contractually requires flexibility with some evening work and travel.

CONTRACT TYPE/DURATION: Specific Purpose Maternity Leave Cover Part
time, Fixed Term Contract until *th May **Apply

SALARY: Grade 5, Point 1 € *,**Apply on the
website** (pro rata for *.5 hrs week).

HEALTH: Candidates shall be in a state of health such that indicates a
reasonable prospect of ability to render regular & efficient service.

GARDA VETTING: The successful candidate will be required to be Garda
Vetted.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: 

* Third level qualification (level 8), preferably in Early Childhood
Education and Care (ECEC)
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience of working in the
ELC/SAC/Childminding sector
* Good understanding of Early Learning and Care and the School Age
Childcare Sectors in relation to national policy and regulation
* Good working knowledge of relevant Government funding programmes
and the administration associated with these.
* Excellent IT and administrative skills, including experience in
report writing and use of Microsoft Office Package including Word and
Excel applications.
* Experience in the development and/or delivery of
training/workshops/networks (Communities of Practice)
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and
verbal with the ability to engage on an individual and group basis.
* Excellent time management skills.
* A strong ability to deal effectively with enquiries from the
public.
* Satisfactory evidence of qualifications and references are
requisite to the successful candidate taking up the post.
